Biography

Kaylee King, age 14, started singing at the age of two, and has  not stopped since.  Kaylee would sing any and everywhere as a child.  Kaylee first expressed her passion for singing and her interest in performing professionally while singing in the car at the age of 7.  From that moment, she has worked diligently to make that dream become a reality.

Kaylee's first public performance was at a school talent show in the 3rd grade.  She sang Just Wanna Be with You from High School Musical 3.  This performance as well along with the majority of her performances are available to watch on Kaylee's YouTube Channel. She followed that performance with a small solo later in the year at her school's Christmas program.  She again performed in the school's talent show during her 4th grade year.  Kaylee performed This is Me by Demi Lovato.

Kaylee moved to LaGrange, GA with her father in the summer of 2010.  She began 5th grade in a new school in which she didn't know anyone.  She quickly began to make new friends and became involved in church and theater.  Kaylee began to sing on the church praise team and became involved with a local community theater.  Kaylee's first role in the theater was that of an Oompa Loompa in Willy Wonka Jr.  Production of the show was in October 2010.  In April 2011, Kaylee was cast as the role of Duffy in the theater's production of Annie.  Throughout the majority of the spring and summer of 2011 Kaylee performed at various church and spectator events, including the National Anthem at Atlanta Motor Speedway (twice) and multiple song sets at fund raisers such as Relay for Life.

In the fall of 2011, Kaylee was cast as an extra in the production of Thoroughly Modern Millie Jr.  She had a solo in the song All I Want for Christmas is You by Mariah Carey for her school's Christmas Program.  She started out 2012 with a bang as she performed the National Anthem at a Columbus Cottonmouth's Hockey Game in January.  Kaylee continued to work hard and started to branch out of LaGrange and into surrounding communities.  In February of 2012, she performed There's a Place for Us by Carrie Underwood in Henry's Got Talent in Stockbridge, GA and followed that performance as a contestant in Blairsville, GA for North GA Idol in March.  Kaylee was cast as The Troll in the theater production of Little Women in April and she had a solo performance in her school's spring production.

The summer of 2012 was another great time for Kaylee.  In June, Kaylee was crowned Miss Fort Tyler.  This was Kaylee's first beauty pageant appearance.  She performed later that night in a separate pageant with an 80's theme.  She performed We Got The Beat by The Go-Go's and Material Girl by Madonna.  In July, she made her second appearance at the Relay for Life event for cancer research.  In August,  Kaylee made a huge step forward in terms of audience.  She performed the National Anthem at Turner Field on August 5 as the Atlanta Braves played the Houston Astros.  To this date, the attendance at that game is the largest audience in which Kaylee has performed.  This performance was picked up by local press in LaGrange and has opened up other opportunities for Kaylee.

In the fall of 2012, Kaylee was cast as a princess in The Little Mermaid Jr.  Production took place in October at the local community theater.  In November, she performed Think of Me from The Phantom of the Opera for her school's Christmas Show and Talent Showcase.  A week later Kaylee played the role of Pepper in her school's production of Annie Jr.  Although she auditioned for the role of Annie, she was very excited to play a character that was completely opposite of her. 

On January 4, 2013 Kaylee performed the National Anthem again for the Columbus Cottonmouths.  In March, she returned to Blairsville, GA for her second run at North GA Idol.  Kaylee took second place and won a recording session with Grammy nominated producer, Sean Clyde.  She recorded covers of Never Alone by Jim Brickman ft. Lady Antebellum and Blue by Leann Rimes.  In April,  Kaylee took on the role of Ursula in her school's production of The Little Mermaid Jr. 

Aside from performing, Kaylee loves playing piano and wants to learn to the play the guitar as well.  She loves all genres of music.  Her favorite artist include; One Direction, Carrie Underwood, Kelly Clarkson, Natalie Grant, Cimorelli, Big Time Rush, Taylor Swift, Casting Crowns and many more.  Kaylee declared her trust in Jesus Christ and asked him to be her Lord and Savior at the age of 8 and was baptized shortly thereafter.  She along with her family are members of Rosemont Baptist Church in LaGrange, GA.  Kaylee loves animals, especially dogs and cats.  She is a huge fan of Toddlers and Tiaras and Dance Moms.  Kaylee is very close with her family and is extremely close to her brothers, one that is older and two that are younger.
